WA Healthcare Worker Training Coalition--Request for Proposals

The Workforce Board is now accepting health care workforce training proposals to deploy $429,600 in federal grant money to help move more low-wage workers into better paying, high-demand health care professions.

The WA Healthcare Worker Training Coalition oversees the grant. Funding is from a federal American Recovery and Reinvestment Act grant from the U.S. Department of Labor.

DEADLINE HAS PASSED! Deadline to apply: September 26, 2011 by 3 p.m.

Bidders Conference -- September 9
The Workforce Board will hold a bidder's conference on September 9 from 10 a.m. to noon. Participants may attend in person or via teleconference. All prospective applicants are encouraged to attend. The Workforce Board will be bound only to written answers to questions. Questions arising during the bidder's conference or in subsequent communication with the Workforce Board will be documented and answered in written form. A copy of the questions and answers will be made available on this website.

Please come prepared!
We recommend that bidder's conference participants read through the complete RFP and the seven attachments before attending. Also, participants can gain useful information in the Questions and Answers section (see adjacent Resources for Applicants).

U.S. Department of Labor Approval Status
Note: Workforce Board staff have submitted a request to the U.S. Department of Labor to redistribute funds and this request has successfully made it through two out of three approval steps. Check this website for a status update on redistribution approval.
