Private Career Schools
The Workforce Board licenses and regulates more than 300 Washington private career schools. The agency staffs a five-member unit, who work to ensure schools that provide private, career-focused training comply with licensing requirements. Our staff:
- Conduct annual on-site visits and evaluations.
- Investigate student complaints.
- Provide technical assistance to schools.
- Administer a fund that reimburses students impacted by a school closure.
